I have been married for 6 years. I have a dog and cat. I am also an Independent Consultant for the Pampered Chef. I love to cook for other people or teach them different cooking techniques. Check out my website! www.pamperedchef.biz/pamperedqueen
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake bread. I make homemade sour dough bread that is divine! I love to cook any type of dessert or any new recipes. I enjoy experimenting!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom passed her sour dough bread starter down to me when I got married. I'm a little braver than her and have made several types of breakfast rolls and regular rolls. My mom use to give me the job of punching down her bread when I came in from school. Baking bread with my mom is also one of my favorite childhood memories.
My cooking triumphs
For my husband's birthday I made a Decadent Chocolate Cake. It is a flourless cake that is VERY RICH and more like a thick mousse. I was very proud of that accomplishment!
My cooking tragedies
Well, I do have a slight excuse for burning anything in my kitchen. I have a stove from about the 1950's and the thermostat is broken. Everything I cook is put in the oven with a wish and a prayer.
I guess a dish that I manage to ruin everytime is baked beans. I have never been able to prepare a decent dish a baked beans (except out of the can.) Another dish that I use to burn consistently was pancakes. I was REALLY, REALLY bad at making pancakes. I was finally overjoyed when I figured out it wasn't my fault. The skillet I was using caused my pancakes to burn. My husband bought me a 12 inch skillet from the Pampered Chef Executive Cookware Collection and I am proud to say I don't burn pancakes anymore!
