Beef Stroganoff III

This was the best stroganoff I have ever made and I used ground beef instead of chuck roast. I imagine it would have been even better without that substitution. Otherwise made it exactly as written and served over egg noodles. Both myself and my boyfriend (who doesn't like stroganoff) loved this. Thanks Donna! :)

Seared Ahi Tuna Steaks

Fantastic! After spending an outrageous $28.00 on 2 pieces of Ahi I wanted a recipe that would do it justice. This was absolutely amazing! Restaurant quality or better, and this was my first time cooking tuna steaks at home. A keeper for sure! Thank you!

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

I put the chops in the slow cooker in the morning before work and left them all day (about 10 hours) on low. The house smelled delicious when we got home. The chops were super tender and very flavourful. I found them to be quite salty but kids and hubby loved them. He said they had that "addictive-smokey-candied" taste. We think this recipe would be great on any cut of meat.

Joey's Peanut Butter Cookies

I chose this recipe because of the high rating but I found it to be only just "ok". The cookies were a little bland, not very peanut buttery, even after adding reese's pieces. Ok but not the best.

Lemon Carrots and Rutabaga

Crispy Dijon Chicken

I didn't make it exactly as written. Used bread crumbs instead of corn flakes, made my own spice/herb mixture, used non-fat yogurt and a mozza-cheddar-jack combo instead of parmesan since I didn't have any. Baked about an hour. It turned out tender, juicy and quite tasty.

Iowa Pork Steak

YUMMY! I totally cut corners on this one and it still turned out amazing. so tender and the gravy, mmmmmm, so good. I thought it would just be another average mushroom pork dish but it really surprised me. It's definately going to the top of my favorites list. You owe it to yourself to try this one!

Cream Cheese Ranch Potatoes

I almost never make a recipe exactly as it is called for, this one being no exception. I used red potatoes, and modified the amounts of cream cheese and ranch seasoning, and substituted a bit of milk inplace of sour cream (even though sour cream has always been a good addition to mashed potatoes,I didn't want these to be quite that rich). They turned out awesome! I will definantely experiment with these ingredients again.

Amazing Chicken

Yummy chicken! I used mashed up seasoned croutons and it turned out great. I was pleasantly suprised because I wasn't expecting much, but it was moist inside and crunchy on the outside, perfect baked in an UNGREASED glass baking dish. Definately a keeper!

Cherry Cheese Pie I

I love this pie. It's quick, easy, and delicious, and there are endless variations (I've made cherry, strawberry, and chocolate so far). Everyone I've made it for loves it, you really can't go wrong with this one :)

Italian Green Beans

good way to dress up green beans. i reduced the butter, used a balsamic vinagrette and reduced cooking time - seems they would be overdone if cooked that long. Turned out pretty good.
