About this Cook
I'm a 20-something ambitious young girl. I am married to a wonderful man. I am a doctor of physical therapy student. When I'm stressed, I bake like there's no tomorrow. When I'm not cooking, I'm either studying or sleeping. Ha.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking, anything and everything. I love making breads and doughs with my breadmaker. but I also enjoy experimenting with Chinese cuisine for my husband. He's a pretty picker eater, but I love a good challenge. Being a full-time grad student and newlywed has placed a limited grocery budget, and I make most of what I have. I love to use stable ingredients and turn them into great meals. I'm not an avid meat eater, so I like to search for vegetarian dishes for myself.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up watching my mom cook various oriental dishes. I rarely saw her crack open a cookbook. She was always naturally a great cook. My mom owned her own vegetable and seafood store for a little while, so as you can imagine, I grew up around fresh foods. She taught me the basics of what I needed to know.

Hawaiian Sweet Bread
Really, really good. Not quite like Kings Hawaiian Sweet Bread, but still equally good in its own way. I halved the recipe and rolled the dough into balls to fit into a 9x13 pan. I added more pineapple juice and sugar, per request of another reviewer. It turned out great! Fluffy and soft! Yum!

Blonde Brownies III
Not the consistency I was hoping for. I wanted a moist, chewy blondie. This one turned out to be like a cake cookie. Maybe I did something wrong, but I'll keep searching for another blondie recipe.

Cinnamon Raisin Bread I
It wasn't as moist as I was hoping, but it was still good. I made the dough using my breadmachine. Worked great. I will make again in the future.
