Apple Pie I

Great pie! I made it with the added vanilla mentioned above (I just sprinkled it on) and left out the butter, but it still tasted unbelievable. Works really well with an apple-crumble type top.

I made one batch of this recipe, but it wasn't thick enough to fill the pan so I had to make another batch. I put the two batches together in the 13 x 9 and baked it 30 minutes--the brownies looked really weird and were really gooey. I said they tasted like someone poured chocolate syrup over them, but someone else said they tasted like they WERE chocolate syrup. I don't know, they aren't really brownies, but they were still a surprisingly good brownie fudge mush thing.

Grandma VanDoren's White Bread

We have a really big family, so I "sextupled" the recipe--six times--and made 22 loaves. I wanted it to last a while. It's great!! We used half wheat flour, so the bread was a little denser, but it's still really good. Next time I might make it with a little less wheat, but I was surprised at how well it turned out since we made so much. thanks!!

Cappuccino Mousse Trifle

Everytime i make this its a hit. I usually use hot chocolate drink mix instead of the coffee though, since i have a lot of kids. we love this recipe so much. thanks!!!

Wild Blackberry Pie

I made this for a family gathering....it was a HUGE hit. It was really easy, the crust was simple, everything was delicious. I used black raspberries from our backyard. One thing that may make it easier for crust makers: Instead of rolling out a crust and then making slits in it, just roll out the dough a little and make cookie cutter shapes and lay them out on top--a huge time saver and very delicious. Thanks SO much for sharing!
