The Best Chicken Salad Ever

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2008
I don't like cole slaw OR Miracle Whip but this is AWESOME and SO easy. I do add sweet relish if we have it. Will sometimes use leftover rotisserie chicken.

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Yum! Used our peppers and tomatoes from our garden and "Garden Fresh Tomato Soup" from this site instead of canned. Outstanding! Thanks for sharing!

Baked Chicken Nuggets

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2007
These were really terrific. I used chicken tenders and cut them up, used the top of my broiler pan covered with foil, and used a whole egg with a LITTLE melted butter. Will definitely make again, as they were devoured by my family. Next time I believe I will flip them halfway through cooking time to get them nice and crispy on both sides. Thanks for sharing!

Amish White Bread

Yum! Haven't made bread in a LONG time (my 6 year old has never had any!) and this was so easy. Ate this first loaf in less than a day! Thanks for sharing.

Aussie Chicken

Yummo! This was awesome. It IS quite heavy, so I'd advise you serve it on a cool day, rather than in July in Virginia Beach! We all loved it, but none of us could finish it. WILL make again, maybe in the fall. Thanks for sharing!

Oven Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: May 20, 2007
Terrific! I did increase oil based on other posters' recommendations, omitted the marjoram (I didn't have any) & red pepper flakes, and did not peel the potatoes (wanted the nutrients and am too lazy!). Family inhaled them, no leftovers! Will make these again for sure. Thanks for sharing!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: May 10, 2007
Terrific! Could not find or remember my old snickerdoodle recipe and this one hit the spot! The only thing we did differently (my 13 year old made them) is chilled the dough for at least an hour before handling (that I did remember). Makes it easier to roll in to balls then coat with the cinnamon sugar. We also used butter flavored Crisco instead of shortening & butter. Yummo!

All Day Apple Butter

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2007
My oh my is this tasty! I used Gala apples (WA apple board recommends Gala for sauces), cut the sugar to 1/2 the amount and used both white and brown sugars, and used heaping measurements on the cloves and cinnamon. Cooked for around 14 hours. Will make again once I have one of those power peelers or can con my teenager into peeling for me! Cored and sectioned, then put sections in one of those chop wizard things for very small pieces. Did run through food processer to smooth out, but maybe an immersion blender will work as well. Thanks for sharing, an AWESOME recipe!

Diane's Colcannon

Yum! Even my picky 5 yr old liked it, and the teenager went back for seconds! Great addition to my St. Patty's Day birthday dinner. I did use kale instead of cabbage as that seemed more traditional, will try with cabbage next time.

Sage Pork Chops

My oh my! These were awesome. Melted in your mouth, they were so tender. Only change I made was to cut salt to 1/2 tsp and they were still too salty. If you look at the boullion container you will see that the first ingredient is SALT. WILL make again, but cut salt out completely

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2006
AWESOME! I think I have made 3 batches in the last week or so, am about to make more. I did follow other's suggestions and cut the oil to 3/4 C and did half brown/half white sugar. I also increased spices by 1.5 and added 1/2 t of pumpkin pie spice (if you don't have that, use 1/2 t of allspice). My kids can't get enough, and I've had family fighting over the last loaf!

WOW! This stuff is terrific. Making it because I ran out of the bottled and was too lazy to run to the store to get more. May not be buying bottled again, we will see how the family likes it. Thanks!

Easy Deviled Chicken

WOW! This was tender, juicy (could cut it with a fork!) and crunchy. I used crunchy Italian bread crumbs and baked at 400 for about 35-40 minutes. Will definitely be added to our rotation!

Country Style Fried Potatoes

YUM! I used peanut oil instead of shortening and red potatoes with the skin on and they were awesome. Added a little onion and then sprinkled a little shredded sharp cheddar once they were finished cooking. WILL make these again!
