The only thing I added was 1/2 tsp of crushed red pepper flakes to the oil.I let them sit a couple minutes with the garlic in the oil with the heat on low. When the broccoli was finished, I stirred in a tsp or so of shallot butter to add an extra layer of flavor. Dee-lish!
