I love to cook! I'm so very thankful for my grandma, she had the patience to teach me all her tricks. I also had my stepmom as a big influence in my cooking. My grandma has been gone for some times now. In memory of her I am putting together a family cookbook. I would ultimately like to have it published. I really enjoy making things with 5 or less ingredients in them. Sometimes simple is best. I also enjoy baking cookies with my step-sons. Unfortunetly all of my family traditions have died off. It's up to me to start new ones! I'm proud of the fact that everyone I cook for loves my cooking! This Christmas I wanted to make some iced cookies totally from scratch....Well, the cookies were very bland and the icing was very oily and separated...Needless to say, I think my mom was the only one who tried one and I think that was out of sympathy! I should have made the same old chocolate chip cookies I always make. You live and you learn!
