I am a Cajun Lady from Louisiana, married to an Egyptian, living in NYC but moving to Egypt this summer permanently.......can't wait. I love to cook....was raised to do so and love to experiment. Okra Gumbo, Eggplants and Chicken, Spaghetti, Veggie dishes.....anything with TASTE!! Cajun does NOT mean "hot", so if you don't do pepper - ask me about how to make it TASTE good without the 'fire'. My Dad and Mom were both excellent cooks.....we had no traditions, so to speak, except that we stood on chairs as children to stir in the pot, thus learning all the little tips they had to offer. Gumbo.....Eggplants and Chicken....Fried Chicken. Pie is not my thing. :D
