About this Cook
My husband and I both work full time and I have a long commute which means we don't have a lot of time to cook dinner. I like do stuff ahead of time, pre-cut veggies etc. or cook once for 2 different meals.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts, brownies, cookies really anything chocolate...I also like to try different appetizers for happy hour with friends at my house. I also love making soup, usually tomato, cream soups, or soups with beans. They are just so easy, almost no clean up, and they freeze really well.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't really have any cooking traditions in my family. My mother doesn't really enjoy cooking although she does like to make soup, maybe that's where I get it. My Grandmother had some amazing recipes.
My cooking triumphs
mmm...I'll think about it.
My cooking tragedies
I made the worst chicken pot pie ever. It was disgusting we threw the whole thing away. I've made some other pretty gross things but I always like to try new and different recipes. You never know when you’ll find one that’s phenomenal. There’s a pesto tuna recipe on this site that sounded weird, maybe a little gross but turned out to be the best tuna sandwiches we’ve ever had.

Banana Pancakes I
Tasty! I only had one banana and they still turned out great. Next time I might add a handful of chocolate chips.

Brownie Chocolate Chip Cheesecake
This turned out perfectly. The cheesecake didn't crack or sink. It looked as good as it tasted. I topped it with chocolate curls and served with raspberry sauce. I skipped the chocolate chips only because I forgot to buy them. I did put a pan of water on a lower rack of the oven while baking the cheesecake portion. Partly to prevent cracking and partly to catch any leakage from the springform pan.

Spinach and Mushroom Salad
Fantastic! I added tomatos and avocado, the dressing was just the right amount.
