Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
This was really good. Seared the meat first. Reached a little over 160 degrees in about 30 minutes. Yes, gravy was a bit salty but I figured thats just from the gravy mix. Added a little garlic powder to the gravy and that seemed to help the saltiness a bit. Also added some corn starch to thicken it up, since other reviewers claimed it was too thin. Definitely will make this again. Thanks

Scalloped Corn and Broccoli

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
Hmmm, love broccoli and creamed corn but this didn't work for me together. Made as written cept for a little more cheese and only 1T of sugar, to my taste. I thought it was way too salty and sweet, which just made it taste weird. Also kinda mushy/pasty. Its OK tasting but I'll probably not make it again. Sorry!

Green Beans with Almonds

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
This was really good and easy to prepare. I'd say do the lemon to your own taste, as what was listed just wasn't enough for me. The toasted almonds are great. I added a little minced garlic also. Will definitely make this again !!

Amaretto

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
This stuff is great! Didn't have enough regular vodka so I mixed with Six Vanilla vodka, didn't seem to make much of a difference. Beats spending $20 for real amaretto. It is sweet so maybe next time a little less sugar

German Potato Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2009
Delicious! Just like Mom used to make. She did her potatoes in the blender but I used the food processor to shred and it was much quicker. But I think the blender version makes neater and more uniform looking instead of the jagged edges from the shred. Either way, it works !! Season to your taste and YES do drain them or they will be too wet ! I always serve with sour cream and applesauce.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
Eating this as I type and boy is it good. I pretty much followed the directions. Sauteed onion & 2 cloves garlic before browning meat and added 2 tbl ketchup and worst. Used the brown gravy since thats all I had. Also added a can of corn on top of meat, under carrots. Try to make this when you have extra mashed taters cause this takes awhile to make if you have to make the potatos from scratch. This is a keeper! Thanks for the recipe !

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
Really good as written. So easy, throw it all in a bowl, mix, put in a pan. Done. Next time I might add some sugar, since I would have liked it a bit sweeter. A great recipe!

Cream of Fresh Asparagus Soup II

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2008
Really good soup. Made according to the directions but used my mini chopper instead of the blender so there was texture with tiny pieces of asparagus. I thought it was a bit salty though. I just squeezed half of a small lemon but that may have been a bit too much. Still a great, easy and quick soup. Thanks

Simple Time Pork Chops

This was good, nice flavor. Only had colby-jack on hand but it worked fine. Did mix the butter and mayo b4 spreading. Simple is true but tastes like you worked harder.

Orange Loaf

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2008
I agree with the other reviews that it was a bit dry. Probably would have been worse without the glaze. But still good, great orange flavor. This recipes worth keeping. Made in 2 mini loaf pans and baked about 40 min.

Nany's Cheesy Cauliflower Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
This was very good but it seemed like it could have used a bit more spice, although I'm not sure which. I did add some garlic powder. Maybe some cayenne to kick it up. But all in all, I was pleased with this recipes. Thanks

Pasta Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2008
This was easier to make than regular lasagna. I used home made meat sauce and some small rigatoni. With ricotta I added an egg, parm and mozz chesse, parsley (just as for my lasagna), and some S&P. Makes it more spreadable this way also. Tasted just like my lasagna so thats always good.

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2008
This recipe doesn't need another rave review but I only give 5 stars to amazing dishes. Always make it the first time as written so I know what is supposed to taste like. It was DELICIOUS but next time I'll add a touch less balsamic. Was a bit tangy for my tastes but still great. Served over egg noodles with a side dish of "sauteed garlic asparagus" from this site, which was also incredible. One great meal !!

Incredibly Easy Chicken and Noodles

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2008
This was very good. Only had one can of chicken broth on hand, so just mixed 2 bouillion cubes with 2 cups water. Added a bay leaf and some crushed pepper. Did not use seasoned salt as I though the broth would be salty enough, and it was fine. Used dry noodles since that was all I had. Don't see what the difference is between dry or frozen noodles. Just dumped them in the pot to cook. Started out runny but thickened nicely as it cooked. Also added a couple dollops of sour cream for a little extra creaminess. Will definitely make again.

Chicken Piccata II

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2008
Only great recipes get 5 stars from me and this one ranks. I did add 1/4 cup wine and some capers, doubled sauce, served over rice. Only problem was the soggy breading. Will just pour sauce over next time. Overall I thought this was excellent.

Pleasant Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 11, 2008
This was very good. I used 3/4 chicken broth and 1/4 white wine. I did have to add more broth as the chops cooked and it appeared there wasn't enough liquid. The sauce could have been a little thicker so next time I will thicken it with corn starch. Had thinner, boneless chops so I cooked until they reached 160 on the thermometer but they were just a little tough. Served with egg noodles and glazed carrots. Definitely would make again. Thanks

Chicken In Sour Cream

This was very good but pretty salty, as so many other reviewers said. But the flavor was really good. I think I'll double the sauce next time.
