Blackberry Pie I
I have made this pie twice now and each time the top crust (I use Pillsbury premade) cracks and breaks. Otherwise, this is a delicious pie! It still eats just fine. :-)

Taco Seasoning I
My husband is the cook in the family and with us being separated for several months, he has been encouraging me to work on my cooking skills and learn more about different spice combinations. I went to make myself some tacos tonight and found we were out of seasoning packets, so I decided I had to try this seasoning that had such high reviews--and so many of them! I have to agree that this is a wonderful mix. I didn't have two of the ingredients, though: onion powder or crushed red pepper. I used the same measure of dried onions and simply omitted the crushed red pepper. I thought it was excellent, but those two ingredients are going on my shopping list for next time. I can't wait to make tacos for my husband again without telling him I've discovered this mix and see what his reaction is. Thanks! :-D

Beer Chicken
This recipe is somewhat similar to how my husband made our Thanksgiving turkey this past year, though it wasn't quite as good. I would make it again, but I'm going to try some variations. I think one problem one of the reviewers had was that they poured the beer OVER the chicken instead of beside the chicken, to keep the spices on the chicken. I added oregano to mine, which was tasty. Next time I might try more salt & pepper on the whole pieces of chicken instead of just on the top.
