Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
Well, I really thought this sounded great, since I've only done the boxed stuffing before, but didn't want to gamble with the Thanksgiving Turkey. So, I made it, with some modifications, tonight with a roasted chicken and it is out of this world! Here are the modifications: no liver; used canned chicken broth; used a box of Stove-top rather than the 2 kinds of bread cubes, less spices because Stove-top is already spiced. Hubby rarely comments one way or the other, voluntarily said "this is GREAT!" Asked him if he thought it is good enough for Turkey Day & he said "SURE!" SO, I intend to stick to the recipe as written (still minus the liver, though) for our Thanksgiving Turkey and I can't wait!! This is REALLY REALLY good stuff!!

Pesto Chicken Florentine

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
Oh wow, this is GREAT!! I'd never used pesto before because I wasn't sure I'd like it; now I'm searching for more recipes using pesto. As others have said, the variations could be endless: shrimp, scallops, onions, mushrooms, etc etc. Thanks for the post!

Penne Pasta with Veggies

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
Pretty good - I also added some sliced mushrooms and onion and added a sliced chicken breast. I did not use any butter and just used some of the olive oil from the sundried tomatoes. I can't imagine that swimming in all that butter! I cooked it all in an electric skillet, rather than in the oven and sprinkled a bit of basil on top. Well liked by all - thanks for the post!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2009
This certainly beats any frozen pot pie I've ever tasted! After reading some of the reviews, I did the following modifications: added clove of garlic with onions; added a cup of corn and a cup of diced potato to the other vegies; added about a teaspoon of poultry seasoning and 1/2 teaspoon rosemary to the sauce; brushed pie crust bottom with beaten egg white and baked the pie shell at 375 for 5 minutes; brushed the top crust of the pie with beaten egg white; baked at 375 for 40 minutes. I can't get over how SCRUMPTIOUS this recipe is!!!

Coconut Shrimp I

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
This is one of the best recipes I have ever gotten from AR! I got 1&1/2 lbs. of large shrimp & followed the recipe exactly. It made a ton, which was a good thing, all 4 of us just kept devouring them as soon as they were cool enough to eat! Didn't even bother with the steaks that night! Thanks for the post!

Authentic Thousand Island Dressing

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
I made this exactly as written and when I first tasted it, I didn't care much for it, thought it was tart and wished I hadn't used that much vinegar. I added about another tablespoon of sugar but that didn't seem to make much difference. Oh, well, I put it in the refrigerator (the recipe made SO MUCH, that I didn't want to pitch it right away).... Then I tried it today, and OMG this is to DIE for!!! My point is, let it mellow for awhile, it definitely needs to let the flavors mingle. Yesterday 2 stars, today at least 5 - 6 stars!

None of us liked this at all. I was expecting something like KFC's coleslaw - not even close - flavorless - sorry

I've used lots of the recipes from this site, but I've never before felt inclined to rate one. But this is out of this world. Everyone who has tried it agrees. Thanks for the post!
