I accidentally poured the topping on before the crust was done (...waaaayyyy before it was ready) but apparently it still tasted good despite the mangled appearance!!

The people I made it for said that the taste of the oil was too strong, and butter would have been better. Apart from that, an easy recipe (even though daunting at first) that turned out without problems!

Very easy to make, though I found it a bit flavourless. I added walnuts, more of which would have made it better. Has anybody tried adding fruit? I'm sure raspberries would go well but perhaps someone can suggest a cheaper alternative? Also my only other problem was finding a vegan-friendly frosting recipe that I could make using ingredients I had on hand (note: I live in a country where icing sugar is impossible to find). But, overall a great, simple cake.
