About this Cook
I've always enjoyed baking and I can still remember whipping up lots of Christmas cookies with my mom when I was a kid. However, having two small children has motivated me (or required me) to cook healthy meals on a daily basis. I'm always in search of the easiest meal to become part of our rotation and have relied on a slow cooker to make my life easier, as well. But I love creating a yummy dessert...especially cookies.
My favorite things to cook
Anything Italian: Sausage, peppers and onions, eggplant parmigiana, chicken cutlets, my sauce (although my meatballs are nothing like my mom's). I also love to make Creamy Butternut Squash Soup and Veggie Soup with Orzo.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Two words: Christmas cookies. Last year I even tried Struffoli, or honey balls, like my aunt used to make...not quite the same.
My cooking triumphs
Spaghetti with sauce and my hot sausage stuffed mushrooms. Those have to be the top Two. My husband loves my chocolate chip cookies and my brother loves my viennese cookies with hershey kisses in the middle.
My cooking tragedies
I get so disappointed when I'm excited about trying a new recipe and it turns out horrible. Let's see...there's the stringy pot roast...I'll think of more.

Lemon Easter Bread
What a great bread! I completely stumbled upon this recipe by accident and it looked simple enough so I decided to use up a packet of pistachio pudding mix...wow! A nice, light texture and not sweet at all...delicious warm out of the oven with a little butter. I'm looking forward to trying it again with the lemon once I get to the grocery store. Thanks for sharing!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles
Words cannot describe the deliciousness of this cookie! I followed the recipe to a T but placed the cinnamon and sugar in a ziploc and shook it with one cookie in it at a time. They are picture perfect and amazing! They looked underdone but I followed the recipe and only baked them for 8 minutes. Thank you for sharing this fabulous recipe!

Mondi's Super Simple Chicken
Not dry at all but sadly, not much flavor either. I think it will be good with extra seasonings...I'm sorry but it was bland as-is.
