About this Cook
I am a third generation Japanese American, born and raised in Hawaii. I graduated from the university with a degree in Accounting, but sometimes wish I had gone to culinary school instead. I love to cook for family gatherings and parties and have to stop myself from volunteering to bring too many dishes to a potluck.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts are my most favorite things to cook, however, I love cooking in general.
My cooking triumphs
I am known for my cakes and desserts at my job and at my husband's job. People have told me that they would purchase the goodies that I make.
My cooking tragedies
I had a pound cake overflow in the oven twice in the same day because I grabbed the self-rising flour instead of the all-purpose flour.

Sock it to Me Cake V
Made this cake for a birthday girl at work, co-workers loved it. It is not too sweet. I did increase the nuts to 1 cup. The birthday girl was trying keep it from disappearing so that she could take it home.
