About this Cook
I am 26 years old and just moved to Plant City Florida with my boyfriend. Plant City is right out side of Tampa. My boyfriends' father moved down here first and opened a business; his wife is still in Michigan. So me being the only female down here I end up cooking everyday. Which I love. Plus they are a Traditional Romanian family so when someone comes to visit it is traditional for them to be invited to a big meal. Thats where I really get to showcase my talents.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook anythign I have not cooked before. I make soemthing we have never had about 5 to 6 times a week for dinner. Plus I am constantly making desserts just for everyone to snack on all day long. I tell my boyfriend "The fatter I make you-the thinner I look".
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year in Michigan the girls in my family would get together and make tons of christmas cookies. We would just pack the whole house with piles and piles of them. Then we would send the men out to hand them out to neighbors, freinds and family. Im really gonna miss that now that we live so far away.
My cooking triumphs
My boyfriend is really picky so I would have to say anything that I make that he absolutely loves would be a triumph. I guess my greatest triumph was a recipe I got out of a cooking magazine about a year or so ago. It s for a pumpkin crumble pie. Everyone who tried it loved it. And even my boyfriends mom had me make it twice for her to take to work.
My cooking tragedies
My cooking tragedies would have to be when I spend all day cooking dinner and then I sit down to eat it and I hate it. Not only am I disappointed, but I am also hungry. The last tragedy I have was when I first tried to make gniochi. I still havent gotten up the courage to try doing that again.
