Slow-Cooked Swiss Steak

I used the cheapest cut of beef I could find at my grocery store. I heeded the other opinions as far as blandness so I added garlic powder and red pepper flakes. I also used a can of diced tomatoes instead. This was exquisitely wonderful!

Super Sausage Gravy

Very good. I had to use regular sausage the first time, the second time I used bacon grease. This is a good basic country sausage recipe.

I loved the flavor of these. However the sour cream didn't blend in for me, it kind of made little lumps on top. A do again but maybe without the sour cream.

Quinoa Vegetable Soup

I wanted to try quinoa but my local grocery store didn't have any so I used rice instead. I added red pepper flakes and extra garlic and used a 15 oz can of diced tomates. I also added whatever veggies I had around. It turned out very good and we even have leftovers for the next day.

Garlic Chicken Stir Fry

I made this twice using whatever veggies I had around. The first time I did the sauce as outlined and found it a little plain for my taste so the next time I added red pepper flakes, extra garlic and 1/2 a jalapeno. It was fabulous and better than what you get in a chinese restaurant! Definitely a regular dinner from now on!
