About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I just like to cook....period. It's the clean up that is a pain. ;)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving Turkey & Christmas Prime Rib.
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving Turkey & Christmas Prime Rib (and all the side dishes/desserts). I can cook almost anything, except fried things and homemade pie crust.
My cooking tragedies
Fried chicken. I still have the scar to prove it. It wasn't bad, it was bland and I just couldn't get the oil like I needed it. Someday I'll try again....without injury.

Beef Noodle Shepherd's Pie
Used about 2x the potatoes (we LOVE them) and a bit more meat (I had 1.3 lbs). It was wonderful. Good ol comfort food. Husband & I had for dinner & lunch the next day. We both loved it. Also, had misc stuff I wanted to use up - so put shaved parm cheese in potatoes, cheddar cheese & fried onions on top. With or without these additions it would have been great. Easy!!

Creamy Potato Pork Chop Bake
I also used the entire bag of hashbrowns. Used the amount of milk called for and added another 1/2 can of soup (full can of cream of mushroom & half can of cream of celery). Used more cheese & onions too. It was amazing! My husband has loved everything I make from this site, but THIS was his absolute favorite by a mile. Easy & rave reviews.....doesn't get much better than that.

Bacon Wrapped Barbeque Shrimp
Not the best recipe I've gotten off the site, but granted I didn't have the exact BBQ ingredient. It was good though. Colossal Shrimp from Trader Joes worked perfect, but don't use thick bacon - it won't stay wrapped.
