Baja Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
Love this recipe! I don't totally puree the pepper mixture, I just mix enough so that it is super finely chopped. Since there is so much pepper mixture left over, after I scoop out the amount needed for the sauce, I add more onion, some fresh garlic, and some cilantro and process again. Add to chopped tomatoes w/ some lime juice. Now I have baja sauce and pico de gallo!

Hi all...this is my recipe. I didn't even think about it when I wrote the recipe, but i usually do make the burgers ahead of time and chill for at least an hour....hope that helps!

Coconut Shrimp I

Seriously, I feel like a rock star when I make this!!!! I've made it a few times now, and everyone just raves about it! I do also make the dipping sauce that a few other reviewers have suggested...1/2c. orange marmalade, 2T dijon mustard, and 1T horseradish. Awesome recipe!!!

Crab Stuffed Flounder

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
This dish looked awesome!!! And it was easy enough to serve on a Wednesday night! I followed a few reviewers suggestions to add some Old Bay and extra worchestershire sauce, but I found it a little salty for my taste. I'm sure that when I try the recipe as written it will be perfect!

Quick Brussels and Bacon

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
This did turn out pretty tasty, although I did change it up a bit. I halved the bacon, and I just used the bacon grease instead of the olive oil. I also added a clove of garlic....Honestly, I can't cook without it :)

Slow Cooked Corned Beef for Sandwiches

So good! The only problem was that we almost didn't get to make the actual sandwiches because we couldn't stop picking at the meat! Thanks for a great recipe!

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2008
These tasted great. The first dozen or so that I dipped came out great, but by the end, they started to look a little funky because the dip was filled with cake crumbs. Also, I used 18 oz. of white chocolate, and that barely covered half of them. But i'm sure I will try this again!

Cantaloupe Bread with Praline Glaze

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2008
I stumbled upon this recipe while looking for something to use up some cantaloupe. I have to say I was skeptical at first. I had never heard of making bread w/ cantaloupe before, but I'm so glad I tried. It is surprisingly good. I didn't make the glaze, and I don't think it really needs it. I will definitely make this again!

Snow on the Mountain Green Beans

These were quite yummy, not to mention quick and easy! The only change I made was to use frozen green beans, which seemed to work just fine. N*R

Tzatziki Sauce I

Pretty good. I did make a few changes. I drained the yogurt for a few hours to thicken it, and I added a cucumber, shredded and squeezed dry. I will probably make this again.

Banana Streusel Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2008
It actually surprised me how much I liked these, because normally I don't care for banana flavored anything. My little boy loved them! The only problem that I had was that the topping wasn't very crumbly, therefore hard to "sprinkle". Other than that, great recipe!

Exactly how I hoped it would taste! I did use 1/2 c. milk and 3T. apple cider vinegar, as I didn't have any buttermilk, and it still came out great!

Grilled Chicken Thighs Tandoori

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2007
This was really good. I did add some lemon juice to the marinade, and I like spicy food so I used hot paprika, but it still wasn't spicy enough. I might add an extra tbsp. next time, as I will definitely make this again!

Cincinnati Chili I

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2007
This was awesome! The only changes I made were that I used 2T unsweetened cocoa powder instead of squares and I used 2 cans of broth and 1 12oz. bottle of beer(I made a double recipe). I'm so glad I can get my 5-way fix anytime, even though I'm 600 miles from Cincy!
