Black Magic Cake
Delicious chocolate cake. Received many compliments on this cake. Used Rick's buttercream frosting from this site to cover it and added strawberries. A+

Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting
Made this to cover Black Magic Cake and it was perfection. Many compliments on this frosting. I did half Crisco and half butter. Does make a lot. Will probably half the recipe next time.

Banana Banana Bread
This was my first time making banana bread and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this was to make. I will be making this all winter with my overripe bananas now. I followed the recipe exactly except I really wanted a nut in it and I didn't have any walnuts so I added pistachios (all I had on hand). Walnuts would have been better.. I'm curious about adding spices, I think I'll add nutmeg and cinnamon next time but it certainly doesn't need it. Yum!
