My cooking triumphs
My first cheese cake ever turned out very nicely, so did my first sweet potatoe pie. They were very tasty and rewarding, but my true triumph was when I made sweet and sour pork. It was so... good. I was afraid everything would go horribly wrong, but it came out satisfactorily.
My cooking tragedies
Not so much a tragedy as a disapointment:
I spent nearly four hours in solid prep/baking for a two layer lemon cake. I made the cake batter, the filling, and the icing all from scratch. When all was said and done... it wasn't any better than a cake mix batter, like betty crocker or something.
