About this Cook
I have only recently discovered cooking as I moved into a home with a large easy to use kitchen with a huge pantry and a monster island.
My favorite things to cook
I love putting ingredients together in salads and casseroles.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Family dinners on Sunday nights.
My cooking triumphs
Had friends over for dinner - all of them expert cooks, and the dinner I cooked (most of it from All Recipes) turned out great.
My cooking tragedies
Had husband's ex-girlfriend over for dinner and forgot to put the sugar in the cherry cheese cake. Boy, talk about tart!

Ugly Dip
Even though the cream cheese was soft, there were still globs - better to mix the cream cheese with the mayo first and then add the tomatoes and corn. I reduced the mayo to 2/3 cup. I also added sliced black olives. Everyone loved it!

Hearty Macaroni Casserole
I cut the recipe down so that I didn't have two casseroles. I seasoned the hamburger with pepper, basil, Italian seasoning, and garlic salt along with the onions. I omitted the bell peppers and tomatoes. And, because I didn't have onion rings, I topped the casserole with tater tots. Family ate it up!
