My husband and I work a lot, particularly late nights. We don't have children, but understand the importance of a nice, balanced, home-cooked meal at the dinner table. It is difficult to do, but we make it happen. My husband is a much better cook than I am. Anything on the grill... I came from a long line of wonderful cooks. My mother and grandmothers make the best comfort food in the world. I ignored the kitchen and hit the books instead though. I wish that I had taken the time to learn more from them, but I am trying to catch up now. I made a ton of great food for a New Year's party that we had. It was all delicious, but a great deal of work. My husband looks forward to his Aunt's Red Velvet cake for Christmas every year. She decided not to make it a couple of years ago, so I tried it a few days later to make him feel better. It was hard, dry, and fell over. He still tried a slice to make me feel better.
