Me On Grand Cayman Island
About this Cook
I am a 24 year old Treatment Foster Care Social Worker. My job allows me to work from home as well as I work many evening so I enjoy using a slow cooker. I also love making desserts and baking. I started baking when I was about 12 and haven't stopped every since.
My favorite things to cook
Any desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well my I come from a very close knit family. We enjoy sharing meals weekly as well as on holidays. My grandmother usually creates a recipes and share it with the rest of the family. In our own homes we take her recipes and add our own spin. My grandmother also is our pastor's cook so needless to say everyone in our church looks to our family to create scrumptious meals.
My cooking triumphs
My first time making Christmas cookies as gifts. Not all the cookies turned out perfect but all in all I had put a lot of effort into it and everyone loved the idea.
My cooking tragedies
I made a French Toast Casserole for Easter Sunrise Service Breakfast this year. I got the recipe from someone who got the recipe from some else. Unfortunately it called for way too much butter and ended up being a delicious yet very greasy mess.

Million Dollar Mussels
These mussels were awesome. My parents always make mussels but I wanted to cook them with a new recipe and this one was perfect. I actually forgot to put in the onion but they were wonderful anyway. I may be making them again for Sunday dinner.
