Thai Chicken Wings
SUBSTITUTIONS: I used canned/pickled jalapenos instead of fresh peppers and minced garlic from a jar, so I skipped the sautee step and just added everything at once (minus the oil). Instead of chicken wings, I boiled/cooked chicken breasts, cut them up, and stirred the chicken pieces into the sauce after it had thickened. Even with all the changes, it turned out to be a VERY DELICIOUS, authentic Thai flavored dish, and we loved it! I also cut back on the sugar slightly, but my husband said he would have liked it a little more sweet. It wasn't as spicy as we were expecting with all the jalapenos that we added, but you could add hot chili sauce to kick up the heat. Next time we will add some fresh/frozen green beans to the dish. Served it over rice. VERY EASY AND FAST TO MAKE!!!

Ooey-Gooey Cinnamon Buns
Directions were very methodical..nicely done. I'm not one to read all directions first (I immediately start doing what it says sentence by sentence), so I'm glad the instructions were laid out in that manner. I never felt "rushed" to hurry and get the next step done (ie, to hurry and make the milk mixture while the yeast was curing). Each step had plenty of time to complete before it was necessary to move to the next step. If any of that makes sense... I just really liked the way the instructions on this recipe methodically pulled together an incredibly ooey-gooey, delicious cinnamon roll. HOWEVER, NEXT TIME IT'S CRITICAL TO DOUBLE THE RECIPE. This didn't make enough to let everyone indulge. :)

Pot Roast Caribe
I was in a "roast rut" and couldn't bring myself to making yet another roast. However, when I stumbled upon this recipe this morning, I was thrilled to see a recipe that included some different, almost "exotic" spices/flavors. I loved it and it turned out well even though I messed up the cooking method (mixed the flour, chopped onion, and all spices in with the tomato sauce which resulted in a paste..oops). It all cooked down nicely, however, and everyone enjoyed it. I really liked the new flavors and will make it again. My husband, who is a "no frills, try nothing new" guy liked it, but wasn't as thrilled about it as I was. I think you have to be a little daring to really LOVE this recipe...but nevertheless everyone still enjoyed it and had seconds.
