My favorite things to cook
My favorite foods to cook are Mexican and Italian followed closely by Southern comfort food.
My cooking triumphs
I love doing investment cooking because it makes potluck and "what's for dinner?" so easy. I spend two weekends a year cooking and freezing at least 30-40 different recipes from main dishes to veggies and desserts. Even the clueless teenagers can open the freezer and turn on the oven. A food vacuum sealer is a MUST for this.
My cooking tragedies
I had planned a big dinner party and invited friends and family. Spent days painstakingly choosing the perfect combination of recipes from appetizers to dessert. Unfortuantely, I chose all new recipes that I had never prepared before. Lesson learned? When hosting a dinner party, serve recipes that you familiar with and have prepared before. Your guests will appreciate it.
