I'm 42 yrs. old. grew up being served everything my mother and father were brought up on and ended up loving everything the came up with and wanted to learn more about cooking the same things when I got older.
My favorite things to cook
Absolutely love experimenting with chili. Almost never the same twice; although I do have my own recipe in my brain only (which may vary from time to time).
My favorite family cooking traditions
Definitely Thanksgiving dinner. When I was growing up we always had 40 people at my parent's house. My dad used to make rutabagas every year any they were the best. Now I am married and do the same tradition with my family.
My cooking triumphs
Would have to be my chili. I am so proud of it because it is spicy but not overheated. (plus I add a couple secrets to it to give it a flair).
My cooking tragedies
That would have to be pancakes. As simple as they sound to make I have no talent when it comes to making them. They either come out in little unrecognizable blobs or just plain torched.
