Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

i added 1/4 tsp of nutmeg, 1/4 tsp of cinnamon and a shake of allspice to make it a little "spicier" for the holidays. delicious!

Smoked Salmon Alfredo Sauce

i added chopped asparagus and a handful of baby spinach to add some more color, flavor and nutrition. i'm not a big fan of salmon, but my fiancé LOVED it (he adores salmon)!

i used this recipe to make my very first pork tenderloin and it was absolutely AMAZING. i had two friends enjoy it with me and they said it was the best pork loin they've ever had! the only changes i made were 1) adding a bit more brown sugar than the recipe called for, 2) marinating the loin overnight, and 3) doubling the amount of marinade since the original recipe didn't seem like it would make enough. doubling it worked out great.

Turkey Barbecue

i followed this recipe exactly to use up the rest of our thanksgiving turkey leftovers. my boyfriend and i ate this meal for three days straight and never got tired of it. i'd never seen a man so happy to eat leftovers before! i was really into it, too. thanks!

Quesadilla Jalapeno Spread

followed the recipe exactly for a perfectly spicy quesadilla spread. quesadillas are my favorite snack to make, and this just brings plain old tortillas with cheddar cheese to a whole new level.

Chicken Parmigiana

after reading some other reviews i added some extra spices to the Italian breadcrumbs (a few shakes of oregano, basil, garlic powder, pepper, etc). this is my favorite chicken Parmesan recipe! i always serve it over hot, fresh spaghetti with a side of garlic bread.

Golden Potato Soup

i sauteed the onions along with about 1/2 cup of carrots and also used cooked bacon in place of the ham. this is one of my favorite variations on potato soup. so addicting.

Dark Chocolate Cake II

this was the first chocolate cake i've ever made from scratch and will be the only chocolate cake recipe i will turn to again and again. this cake is delicious when paired with the Chocolate Cheese Frosting from this site.

i used 3 cups of confectionery sugar and it still turned out fine. this frosting was amazing when paired with the Dark Chocolate Cake II recipe from this site. it's even better when the frosting is allowed to sit overnight in the fridge.

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breast

i used frozen spinach (thawed), mozzarella, feta, and cheddar cheeses, paprika, jalapenos, and a squirt of ranch dressing in addition to the original sour cream mix (no pepperjack cheese, though). this was such a fancy looking dinner, yet it was incredibly easy to make! rolling up the chicken breasts was made easier by pounding them thinner between two pieces of plastic. served with asparagus and the Traditional Mashed Potatoes recipe from this site.

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

so good! for my side dishes i made rice and asparagus that i baked in the oven alongside the chicken. the rice was perfect for soaking up the extra honey mustard chicken juices when served.

Fried Chicken Tenders

so good! i added garlic powder, paprika, and some extra cayenne pepper to the breadcrumbs in addition to the other spices--we like things spicy. my boyfriend said they were absolutely delicious, and that's big coming from him!
