im married with a daughter and my husband does most of the cooking but when i do i have the need to measure everything exacty and stress a little when things dont have the proper measurements and its just by guess and by golly. my mothers cooking and the way she taught me was without flair and its only since ive been married that have i tryed to liven up and try new cuisines;much to the dismay of our daughter who would have me cook mac'n'cheese everyday
My favorite things to cook
i like to cook crab stuffed chicken in parley sauce, taco salad, apple pies, lasagne and chicken enchiladas everthing else is a work in progress
My favorite family cooking traditions
is making christmas cookies and icing them, and then hanging them on the christmas tree with my daughter. i also enjoy giving my daughter a cup of water and letting her pick out different spices and mixing them in the water; she thinks she doing something really great and its helping me get dinner finished.(shes only two and a half)
My cooking triumphs
my triumph is learning to cook completley different from my mother, and being able to get the whole meal to the table still hot.
My cooking tragedies
cooking too many ichiban noodles in a small pot and setting the kitchen on fire.(small fire very small)really.
i also made the mistake of letting my daughters first birthday cake to cool to long on the table and the dog ate half of it before i realized so i had to make another one and was up till 1:30 in the morning icing it
