One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

This is a great chocolate cake recipe. I made a 13x9 cake and topped it with homemade chocolate buttercream icing. The cake was tender, very moist and rich in flavor. It was easy to make and really good. I will make this again and again and will never buy a mix - this is too easy and so much better.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

I like this recipe. I made three big loaves of this and it is just great. I added toasted walnuts pieces and it turned out great. Took it to work to feed to the coworkers and they all loved it, too. Very moist and even better the next day.

Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies

These turned out really good. The only variation that I made was to add nuts and mixed chocolate chips: toasted pecans bits - about 1 cup of those and a mixture of chips that I had in the freezer - milk, semi sweet, and mini semi sweet. The cookies cooked nicely and turned out fine. The consistency of the cookie is very tender and not chewy. I had no problems with the texture or taste. My husband said they were a bit sweet but he enjoyed them and said they were good, too. They were easy to make and tasty. I will make again.

Best Brownies

This is a great recipe. The brownies and the frosting just go so good together. The only thing I did extra was add about 1/2 cup of chopped pecans to the brownie batter before baking. These are chewy and chocolatey. They didn't last long enough. I'll make again soon.

Chili I

Do make this recipe as it is written and you'll see that is an excellant dish. I was concerned about the various ingredients and my husband didn't want me to use the coffee or cocoa, but I did and it was great! Every family member liked the flavors and consistency. I'll put in less sugar next time as it was just a bit sweet for my taste - but again, it is such a great recipe. Adventurous and yummy!

Chicken In Basil Cream

My husband and I loved this. I worked with what I had in hand - italian bread crumbs instead of regular, milk instead of cream, and a 1/2 tbsp or so of paprika instead of pimientos. I used fresh chopped basil from my garden and some really good fresh grated parmesan cheese. I was amazed by the wonderful flavor of this dish. We thought it was as good as any italian dish we've eaten in great restaurants. I served it with cheese/garlic tortellini, simple salad and fresh warmed italian bread and butter.
