About this Cook
So I have 3 kids...GOING ON 4 due 4/31/08-the more the merrier! Same goes with food for me...love cooking, baking and the best part eatting it! I have once heard : "Never trust a skinny cook." WHAT A CROCK! I EAT ALOT...AND its what I make, mind you its not all fat free-other gals with kids ask how do you stay so thin?! I AM 4 sizes bigger than b4 the kids, and do carry a little fat in the middle, but come on, just because someone is smaller than you DON'T assume they can't cook: thats mean. WE eat EVERYTHING AND COOK EVERYTHING OTHERS CANT! and will probably pay for it with diabeties or something wierder than obesity...
My favorite things to cook
um, my kids i think....yeah, they are rather yummie to kiss and munch on, but I think thats the only things I DON'T like to cook, other than that I will and an planning to cook evey recipe I see at least once...yeah....
My favorite family cooking traditions
HELP from everyone is fun, I want my kids to love to cook food as much as me. I am not too happy when I am too tired to cook and my hubby dont offer to cook something and offers to go out to eat, I dont trust "chefs" or line cooks, I have met people that work in "fancy restauraunts" and let me tell you not to bright and discusting all around. ANY meal prepared by family for holidays are wonderful, thats when the "best" recipes are taken out!!!
My cooking triumphs
When I met my husband, I had no idea that I would make such good spaghetti sauce, dont ask me for the recipe though, its all in my head. NOW I cannot eat the pre-made stuff, WAY TOO ACIDIC, YUCK!
My cooking tragedies
the recipe of nestlies toll house cookies, just plain chocolate chip; YUCK. cant stand it, i NEVER make it, the times i did, some how, mine are FLUFFY. ? I found a GREAT recipe here! LOVE it-something like 'Best, giant, chewy chocolate chip cookies'

Scones
looking for a SCONE recipe not a biscuit recipe... i guess i should not have chosen the recipe with LESS ratings. NOT my style to do so, but i was looking for a scone recipe with ingredients on hand...BAD mistake. im making a diffrent recipe next time. though this does make for a nice fluffy BISCUIT thats for sure. just not tooo scone like.. i hope this helps anyone looking for a REAL scone recipe. DON'T cut corners with ingredients on HAND, look up the highest rated recipe here...im positive its better..

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf
since i first made this, we have learned to STOCK UP on ground turkey. i would say this is close to turkey roast with a bite of stuffing at the same time. i keep it plain n simple tho(i dont remember if this calls for bbq sauce or ket?, which ever i dont use either) and the only diffrence i make is SHREDDED cheese not cubed, what ever type of cheese we have on hand does well too...we LOVE it with cranberry sauce. i usually shredd a few carrots or 1 med sweet potato and add it just for extra vitamins for the kids. thanks a million! this is a 1-2x per month dish in our house!!!!
