I haven't done much cooking the last week.  I've made so much, we had to catch up on leftovers.  I still have a few things on my menu from last week, to make, which I hope to get done, tomorrow; some breads, Rice Krispie Treats, and a few other goodies I can slice up and freeze.  MORE

Bacon Cheddar Patty Cakes
I did a search for recipes with bacon and cheddar and this recipe came up. I needed something I could alter to my low carb diet and so I decided to give this one a try. I replaced the mashed potatoes with steamed cauliflower but left everything else the same. They were good but there wasn't much flavor for our tastes. Next time, I'd add garlic, onions, maybe some parmesan cheese. These were good and easy to make.

Simple Whole Roasted Chicken
I did not enjoy this recipe simply because I don't care for cinnamon with any kind of protein. I've had cinnamon in chili, soups, and now chicken, and well, I don't care for the flavor it imparts, nor did my family. Having said that, if I had left that out, this would have been a great recipe and I will make again, just without the spices. If you think you might not or don't care for that flavor, leave it out and just try the chicken with the garlic and salt.

Stephanie's Freezer Spaghetti Sauce
I make this every few months and it is so worth it! You can't find a jarred sauce at the store that can beat this. Depending on my mood, I will add mushrooms, more garlic, port wine, etc... Sometimes I leave out the meat, whatever our tastes are at the time. It's a very versatile recipe and freezes very well.
