I took up cooking after becoming friends with a Culinary Artist. He taught me a love for cooking if not the skills needed, those I picked up on my own. I rarely follow the recipe to the letter and am constantly experimenting.

My cooking tragedies
When I was young and attempting my first batch of peanut butter bars, I misread the hand written recipe.
One ingredient was written on two lines:
1-1/2 Cups Milk
chocolate chips
So I added 1-1/2 Cups of Milk, then some chocolate chips.
