Cooking is great fun, it is my stress relief. I have been cooking since I was about eight years old. I owe pretty much everything I have ever learned about it to my grandmother. I also enjoy cooking all ethnic foods, and swapping recipes with others. I really enjoy cooking Thai/Lao food, which I learned to make from my mother in-law. I like making the ever popular Laap, usually with chicken or beef. Another favorite in my family is Papaya Salad, or as it is said in Lao- 'Tam Mak Hung'. My other favorites are good old fashioned candy and homemade peanut butter. Boiling water!!! Just kidding :). I have never really had a major cooking tragedy. I have had little issues in trying new recipes, such as over browning cookies, or under baking a cake, and needing to put it in longer. Other than that, cooking is a complete joy.
