About this Cook
Cooking is great fun, it is my stress relief. I have been cooking since I was about eight years old. I owe pretty much everything I have ever learned about it to my grandmother. I also enjoy cooking all ethnic foods, and swapping recipes with others.
My favorite things to cook
I really enjoy cooking Thai/Lao food, which I learned to make from my mother in-law. I like making the ever popular Laap, usually with chicken or beef. Another favorite in my family is Papaya Salad, or as it is said in Lao- 'Tam Mak Hung'. My other favorites are good old fashioned candy and homemade peanut butter.
My cooking tragedies
Boiling water!!! Just kidding :). I have never really had a major cooking tragedy. I have had little issues in trying new recipes, such as over browning cookies, or under baking a cake, and needing to put it in longer. Other than that, cooking is a complete joy.

Cinnamon Swirl Bundt Coffee Cake
This was so delicious! Made it for a special family get together, today! I melted some chocolate and drizzled over the top and then drizzled the powedered sugar glaze over that, for a nice affect! I also substituted the sour cream with 1 cup of evaporated milk and added to it 1 TBl vinegar. Then, let it set 5 minutes, to "sour" before adding to the recipe. This recipe is going to be saved to my recipe box, for future use! :)

Microwave Chicken Parmesan/Chicken Breast Cacciato
This recipe was perfect. Very moist and delicious. A raving hit in our house, especially with the kids. The microwave time sure beats using the oven !!!!
