Holiday Chicken Salad

I made this for a baby shower. I made it exactly to the recipe. It got rave reviews. My sister who is a fantastic cook even wanted the recipe. :)

my son LOVED this. I used nilla wafers instead of lady fingers. I used 4 T. Kahlua in the crust and 8 T in the filling. I also couldn't find mascarpone cheese so I used an 8 oz tub of cream cheese. I had to cook it about 60 minutes. Very good! Rich too.

Fluff Dip for Fruit

This is so good we were licking the bowl clean. I used Godiva Chocolate Liquer instead of the ameretto. YUM! Replacing all my other fruit dip recipes with this one!

Mock Champagne

Caramel Apple Pie II

this was very good. I only used 1/3 cup sugar with Granny Smith apples. Next time I would add even more carmels. I also baked about 10 minutes longer with the foil on. The left overs were even better the next day.

Make-Ahead Mashed Potatoes

These are fantastic! I made the night before. And believe me I was skeptical. My son ended up eating about 5 platefuls before the day was done! Good with OR with gravy.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

This is very good. I cut the recipe in half and there was more than plenty for 4 people. I used seasoned chicken broth. Which by the way I only used maybe 1 and a 1/2 cans. I also didn't have sage, but I'm glad I didn't because that would have made it too sagie. I will definately make this again. Thanks

This was just okay. There wasn't a separation between the two layers like I thought there would be. Maybe I did something wrong. Probably wouldn't make again.

Easy Apple Crisp

This is wonderful. My son loves this and asked me to make it again soon. I did only use 3/4 cup water and used a little more cinnamon. It is a little runny at first, but when it cools it thickens nicely.

Corn Casserole III

Kids Favorite Meatloaf

Wonderful. I made it in a regular loaf and it didn't need to cook any longer. I also used 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs instead of the cereal. Will make again.

Slow Cooker Beef Vegetable Soup

The men loved this and it couldn't be easier. I added two cans of corn. I also couldn't fine the right soup so I used onion soup mix and some beef soup base. Very good.

Southern Praline Pecan Cake

Excellent. I made the day ahead and used 2/3 cup oil and 3/4 cup water. I used a bread knife to cut it and had no problems at all. Every day it gets moister, so definately make a day ahead. I think chocolate cake mix would be good too!

Spinach Quiche

This was pretty good. I omitted the mushrooms, used a deep dish crust and added a 3oz jar of real bacon pieces. The kids weren't too crazy about this. Probably won't be making it again.

Mexican Style Dip

This was pretty good. I added 1/2 a pound of sausage which I think made it even better. But with all the recipes to make - I probably won't be making this again.
