About this Cook
Married 29 years to my husband Bill. Love to cook but have a husband who is a picky eater. I work a full time job and a part time job so I need fast and easy meals.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. I love to make fruit pies and try different brownies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
One of my great aunts had a recipe for orange rolls that was out of this world. I have the recipe and have tried to make them several times over the years but just can't get them to turn out like hers. My mother had a baked bean recipe that everyone loved. I use the recipe often.
My cooking tragedies
I can't make raised breads to save myself. My mother inlaw has tried to help me and I can't get it right and the breads always flop.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake
I love this recipe! Most pumpkin cheesecake recipes I have tried turn out to be pretty much like regular pumpkin pie, very dense and very pumpkin which my husband and I don't like. This recipe was awesome! It is creamy and the pumpkin and spice is very light and not overwhelming. I will be making this again and I am actually going to make a couple of them for gifts for the holiday.

Amish Macaroni Salad
I made it following the recipe and my husband didn't like it all and neither did I.

Fried Corn with Smoked Sausage
This was really good! The only thing I did different was I added a small fresh chopped tomato from the garden and left out the MSG. My husband wasn't real fond of it but I really liked it. I'll definitely make it again. Its easy and fast.
