Slow Cooker Italian Beef

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2009
Excellent!! I used beef stock instead of beef broth- didnt want it too salty. And only half the pack of Italian dressing. This is a keeper, I will be making this often. It's perfect when you are feeding a crowd, no work and its great!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Too easy and good! Turned out excellent. The only change I made was I sprinkled the meat with garlic and onion powder. It tastes even better the next day.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2007
I made these for my husband to take along with him on a hunting trip. While they were good, they really dont have the rich buttery taste I prefer in a home-made chocolate chip cookie. I think the pudding takes away the home-made flavor. But if you are looking for a different taste, give it a try.

Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2007
I made this cake yesterday- I didnt have any buttermilk, but used regular milk with a bit of lemon juice. This is a really great cake, that actually tastes like bananas instead of the boxed mixes. Very moist and yummy!

Birthday Bones

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2007
I make these for my Aussie pup and always keep them on hand for training purposes. I roll out the dough, put it on a greased cookie sheet, then roll a pizza cutter thru them and make them rather small- about 1 inch squares, then bake until crispy. This is a quick and easy way to make lots of treats. She loves them!! I use them at obedience class and all the dogs just love them. They will do anything for these treats. Great recipe, healthy, and much cheaper than store bought treats. If you're concerned about the ingredients in store bought treats- these are perfect.

Classic Spanish Sangria

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2007
Delicious!! The only change I made was I cut the rum down to 1 cup. I didnt think this was too strong at all, if you load the glass with ice and the sliced fruit before adding the sangria. Perfect recipe, I will be making this again. Perfect summer drink while sitting outside on those warm summer nights.

Gorgonzola Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2007
I doubled the garlic (only because I'm a garlic freak), and the cheese. I served over steak, and this was very good. Next time I will serve over garlic bread, I had tried this in a restuarant in my area, and it was awesome. Overall this is a good recipe if you like gorganzola.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2007
I made these yesterday and they are delicious!! I added mini choc chips, craisins, and raisins. I also took the advise of others and increased the flour to 1 1/2 c. and baking soda to 1 teaspoon. I think this is the type of recipe you can add almost anything you prefer to the basic recipe and it would still be great. Thanks Amy!

Florentine Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2006
I made this for a Thanksgiving appetizer. I thought it was good, but I used fresh squeezed lemon juice, and the lemon flavor was a little too strong. Next time, I will use 1/2 the required lemon juice. I served with toasted garlic-cheese bread and the flavors went very well together.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2006
Made these for my husband and step-son to take with them hunting. I also took the advise of another reviewer and used 1 1/2 c. brown sugar, and 1/2 c. white sugar. They were very good, and everyone enjoyed them. I kept some at home, and I thought they were very good. I am still looking for the best chocolate chip cookie recipe, but these are worth making again.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

My daughter and I baked these the other day. We took another reviewer's advice and did not melt the butter, and increased the amount of butter to 2 sticks. We also doubled the vanilla and baking powder. WOW, these are a keeper. We will be baking these again. Thanks for the great recipe.

YUM! I made this last night. I used the suggestions from previous reviewers. I used a large brown grocery bag to mix. I will be making this again, but next time, I will try a little more butter and less sugar. Addicting is right!!!!

Chocolate Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2006
GREAT!! I did make a few changes. I used 2 sticks of butter, and a teaspoon of chocolate extract(which may be hard to find for some), and no cinnamon. I also used about 2 1/2 cups of sifted confectioners sugar. Oh my gosh, the extra butter and sifting the sugar gives these a wonderful taste and texture. I frosted dark chocolate cupcakes and served them at a recent gathering at my home. They were a real hit!! Not too sweet. This is a definate keeper!
