Easiest Pot Roast Ever

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2008
Wonderful! Simple! My house smells amazing! Just added a bit more water and used about 3.5 lbs eye of round beef and followed exact recipe....YUM....will be making again and again.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2007
Excellent recipe! It did have more flavor than the applebees version...I'd say it's just cheesier. I doubled the recipe except the garlic and I used jarred minced garlic to save on time. I also left out the parmesan and used Bortelli's Garlic and parmesan alfredo...it was great and the re-heated leftovers are wonderful!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2007
This was better than deli cheesecake! The texture's perfect and it's not as rich as most cheesecakes so, you can actually finish your slice without feeling sick! lol Mine cracked but, I didn't try the water bath and my ingredents weren't quite to room temp, yet. THE BEST cheescake, though...THE BEST!

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2007
Wonderful recipe! Looked more like a crumble when we got it on our plates, though...didn't hold the "slice of pie" form. Added cinnamon to apples as suggested plus 1/2 tsp nutmeg and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract to sauce and it was perfect! A good home-made flaky crust is perfect for this recipe.

Simply Sensational Strawberry Shortcake

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
Didn't seem thick enough to torte so I double the shortcake batter and baked two 9" cakes. I trimmed the tops so the strawberries/juices could soak into the cake faster! Delicious!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2007
AAAhhh. What a mistake! Tasted like the frozen bagged slow cooker chicken and dumplings from the grociery store. IF I EVER attempt this again...I will cook the chicken and ingredients for an hour, then add the torn biscuits for 2 1/2 hours for a total of 3-3 1/2 hours. 5-6 hours on high is far too long...yuck!

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2007
Great flavor! My only mistake was marinating 2 (1lb each) ribeyes for 2 days. Was a bit too flavored. Next time, we'll marinate for about 4 hours or so.

Best Cherry Pie

This was a really good recipe! I liked it hot but, loved it cold out of the fridge! Filling tasted like a cherry pop tart =]

Wow!!! This was an incredible dish! Best salisbury I've ever had! I didn't have any horseradish but, it didn't need it...will make again and again!

Banana Bread Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2007
I tweaked it a little because it was a weak version of banana bread....lacked flavor. And walla! Delish! I followed the recipe exactly...just added 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar, 1/3 cup finely chopped walnuts and 1 more banana. I think 3 bananas would be even better! Tasted just like good ole' southern "like grandma use to make" banana bread!

Great sauce....would only suggest doubling the recipe. I made this for 2 people and it was barely enough!

Blueberry Bread I

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2007
Hmm...guess I was a little disappointed with this one. It wasn't sweet enough for me. Tasted more like dry blueberry cornbread. Would do a few things differently. Gave it 3 stars because well, if I'd been expecting blueberry cornbread,....it was great!
