I'm the great grand-daughter of one of the first Chinese restaurant owners established in NYC. I like to cook anything that friends and family would be willing to eat. No one starves in my house. In the summer, when it was too hot to cook every day, we used to make a week's worth of chinese wontons and reheat as needed. There were 13 of us living in a house, so do the math! I used to eat out all the time. What a joy it is to be able to cook and explore new cuisines. Fish, scallops and shellfish have always been my downfall. I always seem to overcook it. I also made some braided raisin bread that was as hard as a rock.
