Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

I was expecting this to be AMAZING and it was alright, I wish it was a little moister though. I don't know if I overbaked it or what but it was a little dry.

Okay these were amazing..plain and simple. I didn't change a thing, I baked them for 10 minutes and they were very soft when I took them out, almost too soft. But after cooling for a few minutes they are downright delicious. Excellent recipe!

These are so unbelievably good! Very tasty, I halfed the recipe, added chocolate chips and nuts and made chocolate chip cookies! I suspect the other variations are amazing as well. A winner recipe, very easy.

Pecan Sour Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2009
This was so good! I made it into a 2-layer 9-inch cake for my mom's birthday so I lowered the oven temperature a little and watched it closely. I made the glaze a little thicker to be more like frosting but it would have been fine as a glaze too. I sprinkled pecans on the bottom of just one of the pans, which went in the middle with the filling. I also mixed about 1/4 cup of pecans in with the flour mixture. This cake was a huge hit.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
These are so tasty and yummy but mine came out pretty crumbly which made them a little difficult to move around. I added chocolate chips and m&m's which was a really good decision..made them more popular! Overall, play with the ingredients a little and I'm sure they can be made softer and less crumbly. A worthwhile recipe!

Pepparkakor II

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
These cookies are so easy and tasty! I have made them mulitple times. They take an hour tops and they always come out looking great. I didn't have any orange zest so I used orange extract instead. Not sure if it even made a difference, they would have been great without it altogether. I frosted a few of these to make them more appealing to my family, and I bagged a bunch of them up for goodibags as well. A huge hit thanks to a great recipe!

Chewy Noels

These were very easy and yummy! They are sweet and nutty, a perfect compliment to vanilla or peppermint ice cream. I might have overbaked them a few minutes because they were a little too crisp.. so watch them closely. All in all, a great holiday dessert!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2008
These were so good! Much better than the other chocolate chip cookie recipes that I've made from this website that have thousands of reviews. Everything other reviewers have said about this recipe is true. I baked them for about 11 minutes since my oven is a little cool, and taking them out they looked a little underdone, but after cooling for a few minutes they were perfect. Chewy and moist on the inside, yet firm and crisp on the outside. I made these as goody bags for 11 people, and by making the cookies slighly smaller than I normally would, I got over 5 dozen little cookies. An excellent recipe, the best that I have found on this site so far!

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
Out of the many banana bread recipe that I've used in the past, this one takes the cake. It was by far the most flavorful and delicious. I substituted one cup of white sugar for brown sugar, added a tsp of vanilla extract, and used pecans instead of walnuts because I didn't have any. I also used a bundt cake pan instead of bread pans which worked great, I just reduced the temperature of the oven a little and kept it in for 10-15 minutes longer, keeping an eye on it. I just made this yesterday and already it's almost gone. It toasts in the toaster beautifully but is just as good untoasted. Excellent banana bread!!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2008
This bread turned out great! I halved the number of servings and baked it in a bundt cake pan, because I don't have any 7x3 pans. That worked perfectly. All it needed was a little extra time in the oven. I sprinkled the sugar mixture in the middle of the cake to make a filling, which was really yummy. This bread is't fragile or too heavy like some banana breads and toasted very easily.

Banana Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2008
This turned out great. After reading other reviews, I felt comfortable to experiement with the recipe a litle. Sinice I don't have a 9x5 inch pan, I made this into a bundt cake, and baked it for about 55 minutes to an hour. I added 3/4 cup of chocolate chips instead of raisins and followed another review's advice and used 1 tsp nutmeg and 1/2 tsp ginger instead of pumpkin pie spice. I added a smidge extra of pumpkin, and i felt it could of used even more. Oh, and I used apple sauce instead of oil which didn't seem to make a difference taste wise. Finially, since it was a cake, I whipped up a quick sugar glaze with powdered sugar, vanilla, milk, and butter which turned out great. This is an easy, delicious recipe.

Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
These turned out great! I only had an 8x8 inch pan, so they took longer to bake and they were still kind of soft in the middle, but they were very chewy and flavorful. I added about 1/2 cup of chocolate chips which worked really well, I can see them being good with frosting too! These were very easy and quick.

Banana Cupcakes

These turned out pretty good, not really amazing but they taste fine. I don't know if I would make them again, they're kind of a mediocre variation of banana bread, only with frosting. But they were fun to try!

these were qiuck, easy, and turned out great! i made muffins instead of a loaf. it made 12 muffins plus a tray of mini muffins. i also substituted chocolate chips for the walnuts. the peanut butter isn't overpowering and neither is the banana, a really great combo!

Rich 'N Thick Hot Chocolate

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2007
this was good but really rich and if you follow the directions exactly, it takes quite a long time to make. I personally love chocolate in all degrees so i thought it tasted great, but i think most people would agree that this was a little too chocolatey. theres some other really great hot chocolate recipes on this website that only take 10 minutes to whip up!

Hot Cocoa Mix in a Jar

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2007
I just made this and I thought it would be a little more chocolatey and sweeter than it was. It isn't bad at all, it tastes about the same as the powdered hot chocolate that comes in packages. It is very quick and easy to make; I added some chocolate chips to the mix and sprinkled some crushed candy canes on the top to make it look better.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2007
These are amazing! I followed other peoples advice and added an extra 1/2 tsp of vanilla and that made a HUGE difference. They were very tasty. Also when I was rolling out the dough,(I made these into cut out cookies)I used powdered sugar rather than flour. That made them pleasantly sweeter without tons of extra sugar. The consistancy seemed weird when I was blending everything together..as if it needed a little bit of milk or something. But I decided not to add anything, I just stuck the dough in the fridge for about 20 minutes and then rolled it out and it was fine! I rolled it out pretty thin and put them in for about 7 minutes at 375.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2007
This looked so professional on my sugar cookies! I followed the directions, but I found that I had to add more milk/corn syrup here and there to get it to the right consistancy. It definitely doesn't make enough frosting, so if you want enough to completely frost your batch of cookies, I suggest doubling or tripling it. It tasted fine for frosting, definitely for decorating rather than taste though.
