At this point in my life, I have no children at home and I have time to experiment in the kitchen. Finally, time to do what I've dreamed of doing, playing house my way! To utilize fresh Southern vegetables, enjoying the harvesting, preparation and consumption of my experiments and have my family and friends requests for more, that's the best thing about cooking. Cooking is in my genes. My grandparents owned a restaurant in my hometown, my mother was an excellent cook, I am an enjoyable cook and my youngest daughter is teaching culinary arts. WOW- A childhood friend and I own a catering business so we are constantly cooking things to please our clients. There are lots of triumps and they are all fun! Can't think of a single one-knock on wood!
