About this Cook
I am so fortunate to have grown up in and now live in two of the most beautiful places in the world (literally)! I actually didn't start cooking until I met my boyfriend a few years ago. Little did me or anyone know that it would become my passion and a huge part of my life.
My favorite things to cook
Absolutely anything, but I especially enjoy cooking healthy food. I find cooking to be so therapeutic which is why I think I enjoy it so much. Being European, I'm naturally passionate about food (but even still a bit more than most Europeans). Food truly makes me happy, whether it be cooking it for myself or other, or eating it. Hearing oh's, ah's about how good your cooking tastes, is in my opinion, the greatest feeling of all. After all, we can't live without food, so we may as well enjoy every delicious moment of eating it!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking with love and passion. I find that you can honestly taste the difference if something is made with love; this is why I believe people enjoy my cooking so much. I put so much love into my cooking and it truly is my secret to cooking success!
My cooking triumphs
This would have to be health food, without a doubt. Give me any recipe and I'll make an awesome tasting, healthy version of it.
My cooking tragedies
Grilling/barbequing any type of meat. It always ends up dry and over-cooked. Coincidentally, however, the ONLY thing my cooking-impaired boyfriend is successful with food-wise is barbequing meat, and he is great at it! So tender and juicy every time. Talk about a match made in heaven!

D's Skillet Gravy
Absolutely awesome! This was my very first attempt to making home made gravy from pan drippings... and it was delicious! My hunny said it was better than his favorite gravy that his mom makes - that should be another rating in itself!!! Thanks, D! It's delish!

Maria's Portuguese Bacalau
OH MY GOSH! This was unreal! I followed the recipe exactly except I omitted the chopped eggs and olives for garnish. The real name for this recipe is actually 'Bacalhau à Gomes de Sá'. I am Portuguese (my entire family was born and raised in Portugal) and when I told my mom I was making this dish she got so excited! She told me she hadn't had it since she lived in Portugual over 42 years ago! This dish was soooo incredible and tasted so much like something that my Portuguese family would make. Thank you so so much for posting this delicious, authentic recipe, BINGADING!

Mushroom Spinach Omelet
Yummo! This is a super yummy recipe! I followed the recipe pretty much exactly except I replaced the mushrooms with red bell peppers (allergy), and used green onions instead of the regular onion. Also added some fresh parsley, and it turned out delish!
