Easy to make, doesn't heat up my kitchen in the hot summer, what more could I ask for? The end result is only going to be as good as the bbq sauce you use, though! We used Sweet Baby Rays, our favorite of the bottled varieties. I look forward to trying this with some homemade sauces in the future.

Chili Dog Casserole II

Much better than I expected! I used way more chili than the recipe called for though, and used homemade chili I had previously prepared and froze.

Pepperoni Pizza Quiche

Definitely a unique quiche. Like Linda I used what cheeses I had on hand... Provolone on the crust, cheddar & provolone on top of the egg layer, mozzarella on the very top. My 8 year old loved it, so I consider it a success!

Kids' Party Mix

I make similar to this all the time, using odds and ends of almost empty boxes - last bits of cereal, any type of cracker, broken up cookies, small handful of baking chips... Daughter never knows what to expect and she loves it! And it uses up stuff that would otherwise sit uneaten because no one EVER seems to want the last serving of something.

Restaurant Style Egg Drop Soup

Amazing! I had no idea Egg Drop soup was so easy to make. My husband always wants this when he gets sick, saves me a trip since I always have these very basic ingredients on hand.

Cake Balls

Excellent! I used this recipe to rescue and box mix red velvet cake that was very bland from getting wasted. Mixed the red velvet cake with cream cheese icing, that alone tasted great. I dipped the balls in melted milk chocolate chips with a little cream added to help the consistency, because that is all I had on hand. Great for saving less than stellar cakes if you hate waste!

Cheese and Bacon Potato Rounds

First I have to say - I had to try this recipe after I was disappointed by a similar appetizer at Smokey Bones restaurant. Wow... this recipe went above and beyond my expectations. And so easy to make as well! I was afraid they would be sub par since they are not fried but that was not the case. Much better than any standard potato skin I've had in a restaurant as well. I salt & peppered the potato slices before baking, and omitted the green onions because they just aren't for us. I turned the oven off when I pulled the slices out to top them, the retained heat in the oven was adequate to melt the cheese. Just be careful not to slice them to thin - I had a couple that were much thinner than the rest turn into blackened potato chips!
