Snow Peas Oriental

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2008
I had some fresh snow peas I didn't know what to do with, so I tried this. It's a great easy side for any main dish, Asian or not, and also tasty over rice.

Chicken Enchiladas I

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2008
4 stars as written. I used a small (7 oz) can of tomato sauce and no water and the filling turned out fine. It was a big hit with some homemade enchilada sauce over the top.

Greek Pasta with Tomatoes and White Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2008
4 stars as written, 5 with the help of reviewers' comments. Adding some chopped onion and minced garlic to the sauce is essential. It is great hot or cold. The one other modification I would make is to use a pasta besides penne, which I think is better suited to a creamy sauce.

Curried Cumin Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2008
A tasty side dish for Indian meals. I tossed the boiled potatoes with the spices and then finished cooking them in the oven instead of on the stove. The salt can definitely be reduced by half. Also, my curry powder has a lot of turmeric in it, so next time I will probably not add any additional turmeric.

Delicious, hearty, and very adjustable to whatever ingredients you have on hand. Made great leftovers.

Polish Meat and Potatoes

Easy and hearty meal. You definitely don't need nearly 1/4 cup of oil; use just a couple tablespoons in the bottom of the pan. We used turkey kielbasa to reduce the fat, and it was very tasty.

Crillo de Pollo

This is a fairly standard chicken soup, a bit heavy on the onion. It didn't thicken up much for us. We prefer dishes with a lot of spices and flavors, so we probably won't make this again.

This recipe has great flavors, but the eggplant gets very squishy, giving the dish a weird texture. We're having trouble getting ourselves to eat the leftovers.

Delicious! We have also used the same breading "recipe" with tilapia and it's great that way as well.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

These are delicious! In the future I will use a garlic press for the garlic rather than chopping it, but the flavor of these is amazing.
