I'm a newly wed. I love to cook, drink wine, work out, and read.
My favorite things to cook
The easier the better, without sacrificing taste. LOVE one pot meals-Pastas, jambalaya, paella, and chili. I make soup and salad at least once a week. My taste buds must be weakened because I tend to use more seasoning than any of these recipes suggest.
My favorite family cooking traditions
NONE. my mom's food had no flavor because thats all my dad would eat so in general, I'm attempting to start my own traditions.
My cooking triumphs
This year I've had a lot of great "firsts". My first meatloaf, first pot roast, first cream soup, etc. It's all been pretty darn good for someone without experience.
My cooking tragedies
I made an asian meal that made me gag afterwords!! I only hope my husband didn't think it was as bad as I did. I've concluded since then, as much as I love it, I just can't cook Asian food.
Oh, and I poured boiling hot peanut brittle on my hand. Owwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
