did not enjoy this at all, made it exactly as written, and still had most of it left over at the end of the party.

was okay, but we expected better after reading the reviews. We used fresh spinach and added onion & garlic, some extra cheese. I thought iwas heavy and rather bland. probably will not make this one again

excellent! I would not double the sauce as others have suggested, that will make it too sweet. Awesome just the way recipe is written.

best alfredo sauce yet. Only change was to add some white pepper, other than that, fabulous "as-is"

awesome! prepared exactly as recipe stated, although I thought about adding more crushed red pepper. Glad I didn't, because it had a great kick without being overwhelming. Sauce was fabulous! Next time, I will double the sauce.

Crabmeat Rollups

I've never found a recipes that freezes like this one. I made them back in March for an "appetizer party" and forgot them in the back of the spare freezer. Here it is, August, and they were marvelous! A great recipe. Rolling them in the sesame seeds was a bit messy, and it took a little longer in prep than I expected, but this is one I will keep! They are not too heavy, but filling and very, very tasty.

Hot Fudge Ice Cream Bar Dessert

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2002
A wonderful & easy recipe! The hardest part was unwrapping all the ice cream sandwiches (I needed 22) The only change I made was to double the peanuts. Took this to a 75th birthday party and it was simply GONE. I'll definitely make this again!

I changed it a little, used 1/4 cup wine and 1/4 cup chicken broth. I also added some cayenne pepper. But, we usually "spice up" our recipes. In any case, I thought it was a bit bland, and after adding just 1/4 cup of wine, the wine odor was quite overpowering. Made it with lobster, with french bread to soak up the sauce.

Lobster Bisque

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2002
Similar to other reviewers, I spiced the recipe up a bit. Change the worcestershire to 2 tsp, same with the cayenne pepper. Omitted the salt, added garlic powder and fresh parsley. Letting it simmer for about an hour was important, lets the flavor of the spices come through. I also used 3 tbsp tomato paste to add flavor and help thicken, as well as use 1 cup heavy cream, 1/2 cup half & half and 1/2 cup milk.

Banana Chocolate Chip Dessert

This is now what I make every time I bring a dessert into my daughter's class, she requests it as well as all her friends. It's kind of nice to bring to school something other than cupcakes and cookies. Works well if you use whole wheat flour, also!

Ben's Seafood Dip

A very good recipe, just needs a little spicing up. I added 2 Tbs of southwest seasoning and that made a huge difference. I'm thinking about trying tabasco next time. Also, I used the small canned shrimp you find in the international food aisle, made prep time a lot easier. Better on day 2, so I make it the night before a gathering.

Chicken Enchilada Dip

A wonderful recipe, it's now a picnic favorite. I use fajita seasoning on the chiken while I cook it, otherwise it is a little bland. Other than that, I don't change a thing!

Hoagie Dip

This was a good recipe, but not quite the 5 star recipe I was expecting. I made it for a rather large party, about 100 people, and brought more than half of it home. Actually better in a croissant, as a sandwich filler. I will probably not make this one again.

Definately use the biggest dish you have, this is one HUGE dip. But, every last bite of it goes every single time I make it. I did skip the gaucamole, though, most people I know don't like it. I also added extra refried beans ans sour cream.

A nice change of pace from plain old meatballs or cocktail meatballs. I used hot sausage, and did not even need to use the water. The never really browned, even afte leaving them in a few extra minutes
