About this Cook
I only love baking since I gave birth to my daughter in December 2005. I want to try and bake any and everything. I just can't get it out of my head. And I can't believe I'm still interested in baking for this length of time and this is coming from a person who never baked a cake or was even interested in the kitchen period. But my little baby girl changed all that. She's now 2 1/2 years old.
My favorite things to cook
My favourite thing to cook is this receipe my boyfriend came up with. (Coconut Cilantro Chicken). I will post that on the site one day.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I honestly don't have any. We just get together at Christmas and eat till we can't eat anymore.
My cooking triumphs
99 per cent of the recipes I've tried so far has been a hit. I guess that's why I'm still interested and want to continue trying different recipes. I Never limit myself to one kind of recipe. I try all kinds of recipes from what's for dinner, cookies, cakes are my favourite or even breads, sauces and frostings. You name it. I want to try it.
My cooking tragedies
I just try and follow the recipe since I'm just starting out. Then I try and improve on it. But I'm still learning as I go along. So I read a lot of the reviews. Then I decide if I should tweek it or not or make any necessary changes to my liking.

Pumpkin Cheesecake Dessert
I was looking for a recipe for Father's Day because my finance loves anything made with pumpkin. This was perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. Simply ingredients, not complicated at all and great time saver. I made it from the night before and let it set in the fridge overnight. It's well worth the wait. I just did two little things different suggested by a couple of the other viewers. I added a teaspoon of cinnammon and add 1/4 cup more pumpkin puree. Oh ! and I also added a dash of cloves in the batter. I would try it next time in a 10 "pan lined with foil paper next time. I swear I think I ate like 3 slices of this pie. I drizzled some caramel over the pie, then topped with a scoop of French vanilla cool whip and springled with some shaved dark chocolate on top. SIMPLY DELICIOUS!

Chocolate Trifle
I had some left over home made chocolate cake and I took it to work today and it was a huge hit. I followed as per recipe, no modifications necessary. I just crumbled a pack of oreo cookies on top with 3 cherries. I'm all about pesentation. Everybody says it was wonderful. I don't know who said this was sweet but 17 people can't be wrong. I will defintely make this again in the very near future because I still have some more chocolate cake in the fridge. I think will make a one for my sister. THIS WAS MAGNIFICENT ! Need I saw more.

Honey-Mustard Baked Chicken
I finally had the time to try this receipe. I baked it last night and brought a piece for lunch today and I warmed it up in the microwave and it was very suclent and had slight sweetness to it, not very sweet at all, I might had. Because I don't like too sweet things to eat. I'll give this recipe a 4 because the dijon mustard I thought I had spoiled, so I had to use regular mustard but I'll try it again when I get some good dijon again. I think that will make a big difference. It smelled really good while it was baking but the taste wasn't bad but still wasn't what I was expecting.
