I love to cook. If I had a choice, I would start a family and stay at home and cook. But, alas we all need to work. I work in an Educational Supplies Center - so not much space for cooking there...
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook anything that is a challenge. But i do have a favour to chicken, especially my southern style deep fried chicken. I do also love cooking healthy, fresh foods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Scones and cakes. My nanna taught me when i was a little girl how to make scones. My mother really doesn't like cooking, however, just like my nanna, i can cook for an army on a shoe-string budget. She owned a farm and had 12 children.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking my first unassisted meal when i was 7 years old. It was fried rice and chocolate cake for desert - dont really go together, but when you are seven you should finish everything with chocolate.
My cooking tragedies
I cooked some really bad sausages one time they were so salty - yuk. I also made ricotta pancakes once. I put way too much bicarb in there - they had a strange burning sensation to them.
