About this Cook
I work full time in customer service but my true passions are baking and cooking. I am going part-time through my community college's baking certificate program to learn all there is not know. Not sure I will ever work professionally but for now I love to learn and practice.
My favorite things to cook
Vodka Rigatoni, Peanut butter chicken, BBQ chicken, pan-seared asian pork chops, homemade macaroni and cheese
My cooking triumphs
Every time I cook and bake everything I planned for my daughter's birthday party.
My cooking tragedies
The very first time I ever baked I tried a recipe for chocolate cake I got in home economics class. I added 1 cup of baking soda instead of 1 teaspoon. I won't ever make that mistake again :)

Cornucopia
Really great idea. The corucopia was a big hit. At first I was hesitant because the instructions seemed "detailed" but I read it 3 times and realized it was easy. Make foil in shape of cone/cornucopia, stuff opening with foil balls, spray, wrap breadsticks around overlapping, brush with egg and water. Bake and done.

Cranberry Sauce I
Awesome. Made it today. Very traditional and nice texture. Since this sauce is more on the tart side I made a pecan glaze and kept come of the sauce by itself and then mixed some with the glaze, really yummy sweet/sour combo.

Buttermilk Pancakes II
I love this recipe. I have used it several times and the recipe has never failed me. I have been out of buttermilk and used 3.5 cups of whole milk with the same wonderful results as when I use buttermilk. I haven't used a box mix since I found this recipe. I also lvoe that it makes a lot so I can get two day's worth.
