I am a Type II diabetic, and love to alter recipes to keep the taste and cut sugar and fats, but still keep the original flavor. So far I have been very successful and am keeping the recipes I have converter in a file in the computer.

Don't buy prepared food, do it yourself. I buy larger cuts of meat and quantity vegetables and butcher, prepare and freeze in meal size portions. I also still make jelly and apple butter.
